Chiropractorspractice primarily using their hands, providing diagnosis, treatmentand preventive care for disorders related to the spine, pelvis,nervous system and joints. Thereis an emphasis on manual treatments including spinal adjustment andother joint and soft-tissue manipulation.  

Chiropractors use acombination of treatments, depending on the specific needs of theindividual patient. After taking a history, performing an examinationand establishing a diagnosis, a chiropractor can develop and carryout a comprehensive treatment/management plan, recommend therapeuticexercise and other non-invasive therapies, and provide nutritional,dietary and lifestyle counselling.

Most who seekchiropractic care do so for low back pain. Back and neck pain areconsidered the specialties of chiropractic, but chiropractors maytreat ailments other than musculoskeletal issues.
